Where is my remaining energy going when the subscription is renewed?
Where is my remaining energy going when the subscription is renewed?
Updated over a week ago

At the end of each billing cycle, during the renewal of your subscription, any remaining energy within your current energy plan will be transferred to your energy account.

Think of your energy account as a kind of "energy backup." This account will store your unused energy for a period of up to 12 months (provided that you have an active subscription). If you exhaust the kilowatt-hour allocation in your plan, the energy from your energy account will be used automatically. This ensures that you can continue to charge your car using the energy you've accumulated.

All the information about your energy plan and energy account are available inside the "My Plan" page of the app, which you can reach by tapping on the then plan card from different part of the app.

Example

Let's make an example and check out our test user, Alex!

Alex hopped on board with Cariqa back in June 2023 and has been cruising along for a few months, but haven't been wiping out their monthly energy every time. Looking at images below, you can see that Alex has:

  • 50 kWh from the active "Cariqa S" plan

  • 65 kWh in the energy account

This makes a total of 50 + 65 = 115 kWh that Alex can use to charge their car!

Amongst these 115 kWh, 15 kWh must be used before the end of June 2024; this means that Alex saved 15 kWh in June 2023, and can still use this energy for 12 months!

Well done Alex! 😎
