Why is my EV not connecting to Cariqa?

It is not necessary to connect your vehicle with Cariqa, you can enjoy lots of our functionalities without a connection. However to unlock the battery monitoring feature, we recommend connecting your vehicle.

If your car is supported by Cariqa, you should be able to connect it without any problems. However, if it doesn't work right away, there are a few simple tricks.

1) Make sure you've downloaded and connected your car to your car brand's app.

2) Ensure your car is reachable - when cars are parked underground, they often cannot send data because of poor network connectivity, making it difficult to connect Cariqa to your car.

3) Some car manufacturers heavily limit data transmission when the vehicle is parked and have a low battery level. In most cases this happens when the battery state of charge is below 20%.

For the most reliable experience we recommend connecting your car while you are sitting in the vehicle in an area with adequate mobile network connectivity.
